Art | Curriculum Intent
We aim to encourage open minded, creative, critical reflective thinkers who develop through Art the courage and confidence to discover and contribute as an active global citizen within the world around them. As they will strive to become scholars, they will adapt, influence and make a positive impact in their chosen fields/careers with a creative and innovative approach.
- Individual practical support given in lessons.
- Teacher demonstrations used in all lessons to guide expectations and help students understand processes.
- Break time and Lunchtime support in Room 26 and 28.
- Knowledge organisers.
- Peer mentoring.
- Parental contact.
- Differentiated lessons.
- Tailored homework, which allows for students to develop their interests and strengths. This also allows students to challenge themselves.
- Students are given guide sheets to complete critical and contextual understanding of Art, relating to Art history.
- Students have the opportunity to attend trips, which help stretch their learning even further. This also support their understand of Art and the work/ views of others.

– Liverpool
– Barcelona
